Karnataka was formed on 1st November, 1956, and the state celebrates its 59th formation day, known as Kannada Rajyotsava. The red and yellow flags is hoisted at different places by people belonging to every religions and the Kannada anthem Jaya Bharatha Jananiya Tanujate also sung. Its a carnival all over the state and Kanteerava Stadium in Bangalore has filled with the colors RED-YELLOW. On this auspicious day Government of Karnataka announces and presents the Rajyotsava Awards for their service to the society.
