Karnataka Examination Authority conducts Post Graduate Common Entrance Test (PGCET) for admissions to MBA, MCA and M.E. / M.Tech / M.Arch courses.

Karnataka PGCET MBA Eligibility:-

Full Time MBA courses:

A candidate who has passed Recognised Bachelor’s Degree of minimum of 3 years duration examination or equivalent examination and obtained an aggregate minimum of 50% marks taken together in all the subjects including languages in all the years of the Degree Examination is eligible for admission to MBA courses. (45% of marks in Q. E. in case of SC, ST and Category-I of Karnataka candidates)

For Part Time MBA courses:

A candidate who has passed recognized Bachelor’s Degree of minimum of 3 years duration examination or equivalent examination and obtained an aggregate minimum of 50% marks taken together in all the subjects including languages in all the years of the Degree Examination is eligible for admission to MBA courses (45% of marks in Q. E. in case of SC, ST and Category-I of Karnataka candidates). In addition to this a candidate after obtaining the degree, must have worked for not less than three years as on 31st July 2016, in an establishment an must be working in an organization situated within a radial distance of 40 km from the institution in which the candidate seeks admission.
Karnataka PGCET MBA Registration / Application Form

Karnataka PGCET MBA 2016 Application Form / Registration:-
Step 1: Enter all the details through Online by browsing URL http://kea.kar.nic.in on web by selecting “PGCET 2016”. After completion of entry of all the details candidates will receive an application ID and Password to their registered email address and also the same information will be displayed on the screen.

Step 2: Upload the scanned copy of the recent passport size Colour Photo and Signature in .JPEG format separately.

Step 3: Download and take the printout of the Challan copy which is the triplicate. Candidates of Karnataka origin have to pay an amount of Rs 650/- for General Merit and OBC (Rs 500/- for SC/ST category -1) for each course. The candidates have to pay the requisite fee in any of the branches of specified Banks. The Bank will retain its copy of the Challan and handover the remaining the two copies if the Challan to the candidates.

Step 4: Download and take printout of the application form on A Size paper. Affix candidate’s recent passport size photograph, Signature, Left hand Thumb Impression on the space provided. Afterwards obtain Principal seal and signature from the college where you have studied final year degree examination on the space provided in the printed form. The same copy should be produced during document verification along with the copy of Challan (KEA Copy).
Note:- Candidates should not down their application ID and Password until the completion of filling of the online application. Candidate has to enter all the required details in the form, failing which their which their application will be considered. Applications without Photograph and Signature will not be considered as valid. Candidates are not allowed to edit their Application after taking the printout.

Karnataka PGCET MBA 2016 Pattern:-

PGCET notifications 2016

The PGCET 2016 will be held in one session separately for MBA, conducted for 100 marks with 150 minutes duration. Each question paper will be of (Objective) Multiple Choice type. The question paper will be in four different versions. Each question will have four different options. Each question will carry ONE mark.

All questions are compulsory. In other words, there is no choice among questions. Candidate is expected to attempt all the questions, in order to obtain maximum marks. THERE WILL BE NO NEGATIVE EVALUATION WITH REGARD TO WRONG ANSWERS BUT MARKS WILL NOT BE AWARDED IN RESPECT OF MULTIPLE ANSWERS.
