Why are people jumping the gun on the basis of the trailer, asks Sanjay Gupta
Sanjay Gupta will revise the trailer of his upcoming film Jazbaa.
Sanjay Gupta is back with the trailer of his much anticipated film Jazbaa. The film is said to be a remake of a Korean film Seven Days. What is distinct through out the trailer is the green tinge. But this greener world of Jazbaa has landed the director into a trouble. Some critics do not approve of this overwhelming green tinge in the film’s trailer.
Accoding to a DNA report, Sanjay Gupta is going to revise this version of the trailer, he said, “The version you saw is meant for theatres. On the large screen, the green colour that otherwise seems overpowering on the television computer and mobile screen, will spread itself out. On the smaller screen, we did not anticipate the colour’s impact. We’ve corrected it now. A new version of the trailer will go on air this week.”
Talking about the smaller screen, the director said the sound quality will be altered accordingly. He added, “My sound recordist has worked on a different sound quality for the trailer of Jazbaa. In the theatres, the sound mixing would be done to accommodate the Digital Dolby and Dolby Atmos sound facility. But on the computer, television and mobile screen the sound has to be far less enhanced and much more intimate.”
Defending his conception of the use of the green colour in the trailer, Gupta said, “Every film of mine has a distinctive sound, look, flavour, colour and personality. In Jazbaa, we’ve gone for a particular look and sound. The film’s technique would make itself apparent when the film releases. Why are people jumping the gun on the basis of the trailer?”
Jazbaa revolves around the story of an advocate fighting all odds to get her daughter back from the kidnappers. The film stars Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Irrfan Khan, Shabana Azmi and Jackie Shroff in pivotal roles. Jazbaa is set to release on October 9 this year.
